Underarm bumps are caused when bacteria blocks the hair follicles preventing the hairs from growing from the follicle and this result in the underarm bumps. They are usually reddish and swollen. These bumps are accompanies with itching and discomfort.
Underarm bumps usually have pus inside them and are very painful.
Here are some simple remedies to use and prevent underarm bumps
Apply warm water
Applying warm water is one old method of remedying underarm bumps. This involves soaking and pressing the bump with warm water. This helps in reducing the pain and pushes the pus forward.
This should be done for some days, after which the pus should be removed, and the wound should be washed with alcohol, then medicated ointment should be applied to the area two to three times a day and to use warm compresses until the wound heals.
Turmeric powder is used both as an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent, both of which can help heal an underarm bump and get rid of the wound quickly.
You can choose to ingest turmeric powder, use it topically to treat boils or both.
To ingest it, boil a teaspoon of turmeric powder in water or milk, and drink it three times daily once cooled. You can mix turmeric with water and/or ginger to make a paste, and apply it to the bump at least twice a day.
